Zyna Medtech (A Subsidiary Of Lotus Wireless) Signs Technology Transfer Agreement With NDRC For The Manufacturing Of Non-Invasive Device For Neonatal Hyper-Bilirubinaemia


National research development corporation (NRDC) Public Sector Unit under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, ministry of science and technology has signed a technology licensing agreement for the manufacturing of “non-invasive screening device for neonatal hyper-bilirubinaemia” with M/s Zyna Medtech private limited, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This technology is developed by S.N Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata, an autonomous research institute under the department of science and technology. The technology is protected under Indian patents. This information has been given by NRDC Chairman & Managing Director Dr H Purushotham.

The Technology has been transferred by the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), in the presence of Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, DST to a Visakhapatnam based Design, Engineering and Manufacturing Medical technology company, M/s Zyna Medtech Private Limited. Mr. Maninder Singh ,Chairman and Managing Director of the company, expressed satisfaction for getting opportunity to take part in the commercialization of POC developed by the Premium Scientific Indian Institute.

“Development of convenient, non-invasive diagnostics based on deep understanding of physicochemical sciences is happening at a faster pace around the world, and the institutions focused on basic sciences such as S.N. Bose National Centre For Basic Sciences at Kolkata, are thus compelling partners in technology and device development,” said Prof Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, DST.
