Blueberry 50 stands as a precision-engineered, high-voltage DC-DC converter designed around a Dual Active Bridge (DAB) core. Serving as the heart of modern Solid-State Transformer (SST) architecture, it delivers galvanically isolated and highly efficient power conversion, setting a new benchmark for rugged, high-density performance in next-generation energy infrastructure.

Achieving over 99% peak efficiency, this unit leverages Silicon Carbide (SiC) high-speed switches and optimized magnetics to minimize thermal losses. Its compact engineering ensures reliable operation in harsh environments, making it an ideal solution for sectors requiring robust, continuous power delivery such as marine and rail electrification.

TECHNOLOGY

Advanced Technical Architecture

At its core, the Blueberry 50 utilizes Dual Active Bridge technology to enable bidirectional power flow, allowing energy to move effortlessly from source to load and vice versa. This capability is essential for modern applications like Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and regenerative charging, while Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) further improves thermal stability and lowers EMI.

The module offers a rated power of 50 kW with a wide input voltage range (1,800 – 2,200 VDC) and 40 kV reinforced isolation. Features like soft start and smart load balancing allow for smooth synchronization across units, ensuring that large-scale configurations operate with the same precision and safety as a single module.

INTEGRATION

Seamless System Integration

Blueberry 50 is designed to integrate directly as the DC-DC stage in modular Solid-State Transformer systems, eliminating the need for bulky traditional transformers. By handling isolation and voltage transformation in a compact stage, it enables direct integration with medium-voltage grids, streamlining the architecture for digital substations and green ports.

For physical deployment, the unit is container-ready and available in a compact 19” rack-mountable format. This flexibility allows it to serve as a rugged DC backbone for electric airports and charging hubs, easily fitting into both mobile platforms and fixed infrastructure setups.
