GridMax MV represents a breakthrough in power electronics, operating as an advanced solid-state AC to DC converter that interfaces directly with the 11 kV medium-voltage grid. By utilizing Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) architecture—globally adopted for HVDC systems—it delivers a regulated 15 kV DC output without the need for bulky step-down transformers or secondary rectification stages, significantly reducing physical footprint and installation complexity.

This architecture ensures exceptional performance, achieving over 98% conversion efficiency across a wide load range while maintaining low harmonics through built-in mitigation. The system is designed for high-speed dynamics, boasting a sub-10 ms response time to grid fluctuations, making it an ideal solution for megawatt-scale infrastructure where stability and speed are paramount.

Built for scalability, the GridMax MV features a modular design that allows for expansion from 1 MW to 10 MW using SiC-based high-speed switches. The system is housed in containerized designs (20ft/40ft ISO) for plug-and-play deployment, integrating essential safety mechanisms such as internal arc fault detection and auto-isolation. With configurable DC output capability (12–20 kV) and comprehensive protection against surges and overloads, it provides a resilient power backbone for critical industrial applications.

Seamless System Integration

GridMax MV is engineered for superior interoperability, serving as a versatile interface for diverse energy systems including EV chargers, battery storage (BESS), and hydrogen electrolyzers. It connects directly to multi-output DC dispensers and supports various battery chemistries like Li-ion and LTO, functioning effectively as a solid-state transformer for next-generation digitized substations.

The platform is managed via a sophisticated FPGA/ARM-based digital control system that supports predictive diagnostics and smart synchronization. Capable of both grid-forming and grid-following modes, it enables dynamic interaction between fleets and the utility grid, supporting advanced energy balancing protocols like Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G).
